The Opportunity We are a well-established New Zealand manufacturer of complementary healthcare, natural health, and dairy-based nutritional products, supplying customers across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliable and cost-effective supply of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services to support our manufacturing operations. You will be part of a collaborative team environment where your contribution directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and business performance. Key Responsibilities · Manage end-to-end purchasing activities to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets · Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies · Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers · Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers · Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement · Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities · Ensure timely ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels · Work cross-functionally to align procurement with operational needs · Maintain accurate procurement records within ERP systems · Proactively identify and communicate supply risks · Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards · Build and maintain strong, professional supplier relationships About You You are a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will bring: · A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field · At least 2 years’ procurement experience (manufacturing preferred) · Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills · Sound understanding of supply chain and procurement processes · Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost efficiencies · Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills · High attention to detail and strong organizational ability · Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience is advantageous · A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only shortlisted candidates will be
